Advanced Material Simulation

This project focused on the creation of complex materials using physical-based rendering techniques. Four practices were developed:

Thin Film – Beetle Shell: Simulation of iridescence using parameters like cloud and brownian to mimic the natural light interference seen in insect shells.

Subsurface – Skin / Wax: Creation of subsurface scattering materials to simulate the translucency of human skin or wax under lighting.

Emission – Light: Development of an emissive material, with controlled lighting areas to produce a more focused and visually appealing effect.

Transmission – Bubble / Dirty Glass: Study of transmissive materials, starting with a bubble and evolving into dirty glass by adjusting transparency and reflection properties.
